: : : : Hi Mark- that makes sense for investments bought on one date but my report has a number of investments, bought at different times. Thus a specific starting date should be used for each investment, and there is no provision in FM for that. : : : If you would just point me towards the appropriate section of Help, I'll start digging. Harry : : Hi Harry, : : The date range for reports are applied consistently to all line items in a report. There are some special fields in the custom report, such as "ROI yield (inception)", where the yield is calculated from each investment's first transaction up through the ending report date. : : Thanks,
To see your gain/loss on positions you've sold, use the Capital Gain reports. To see your gain/loss on your currently held positions you can use the custom report with any of the "Gain" fields. This will report on each investment, and also your whole portfolio. These fields are also available in the Portfolio Editor if you prefer to look at them there. See "View / List Columns..." and choose any of the "Gain" fields. You can also see this graphically in the "Cost - Price", "Cost - Value", and "Portfolio Cost - Value" graphs. See the online help for more on any of these. Thanks,
