Retrieve transaction error from Scottrade

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby Harriet » Mon Sep 09, 2013 12:31 pm

When I tried to retrieve my transactions from my Scottrade account, I got the following error:

Post Http Send Request Win Inet error code 12038
Message: the host name in the certificate is invalid or does not match.

If I click OK, another messages comes up: Failed to retrieve portfolio.

I tried calling Scottrade Tech Support. They had me log onto my Scottrade account and go to the transactions page. Since I was able to do that, they claim there's nothing wrong at their end and it must be a Fund Manager problem. Their only solution is to have me export the transaction data to an Excel spreadsheet and then import from the spreadsheet into Fund Manager. That seems like a lot of extra work!

Can you help me sort this out?

Hi Harriet,

Please update your transaction module, and this should fix it. We recently updated the transaction module to 179 for just this reason. Use "Help / FM on the Web / Check for Updates..." and allow it to download any needed updates.
Thanks,
Mark
