Possible Bug?

Hi - for some reason for me the portfolio value report generates investment % value figures totalling more than 100%, and total $ values that are less than the combined subtotal $ values of the sub-portfolios in use.

Is this a bug? If so, any chance of a fix?
I am using version 10.8 - have not upgraded as no New Zealand applicable features seem to have been added with subsequent versions.

Hi Paul,

It looks like you have some hidden investments with negative values. Try turning on "View / Hidden Investments/Portfolios" and see if that doesn't clarify things.

Ah - thanks. It seems like a negative quantity was automatically created in the hidden foreign currency conversion entity used when I purchased some foreign shares

Glad you found it. You might want to make sure that exchange rate investment isn't accidentally assigned as the default cash account for one of your sub-portfolios.
