I'm unable to access from within FM online Tutorial, Message Board, FAQ and FM Home page. I get message: "There is no application associated with given name extension" Accessing "Check for Updates" work ok.
Also, when I click on Help Contents (F1) I get: This page can’t be displayed Make sure the web address //ieframe.dll/dnserrordiagoff.htm# is correct. Look for the page with your search engine. Refresh the page in a few minutes. Help On Portfolio Editor work ok.
Thanks nebfinfm

Hi nebfinfm, Those menu commands rely on your Windows shell being configured to open a URL, like: https://www.fundmanagersoftware.comIt sounds like somehow this association has been removed in your Windows configuration. If you go in Windows to "Start / Run..." and in the "Run" dialog, type in that URL above, does it work okay? What version of Windows and Internet Explorer are you using?

====================== When I type https://www.fundmanagersoftware.com the message come: "This file does not have a program associated........" I am using Windows 7 ver.6.1. Although I have installed Internet Explorer ver. 11.0.15 I'm using Firefox ver. 35.0 Until recently I did not have this problem, recently I made DuckDuckGo as my default browser. Thanks nebfinfm

Hi nebfinfm,
It sounds like you are missing the HTTPS protocol assignment in your Windows. In Windows, go look at:
Control Panel\Programs\Default Programs\Set Associations
and scroll down to the "Protocols" section, after all the file extension associations. You should have some protocols defined, like for HTTP and HTTPS, which are associated with your browser. Fund Manager uses HTTPS.

=========================== Hi Mark, like usually your prompt reaction time to posted question is unreal...... thanks. I cannot find the HTTP and HTTPS protocol definitions, looks like it is missing. How to reinstate or reinstall it into Set Associations? Thanks nebfinfm

Hi nebfinfm,
From within Windows use:
Control Panel\Programs\Default Programs\Set Default Programs
and pick something like "Internet Explorer" and then "Set this program as default", or "Choose defaults for this program". If you use the "Choose..." option you'll see all the protocols that it supports, which include both HTTP and HTTPS, so you can select those and click Save.
You can probably do this for Firefox too I'm guessing, but I know the options are available for Internet Explorer.
