That dividend yield (calculated based off the ending share price) corresponds to a dividend yield you might see publicly reported for investments. It shows the expected return just from dividends relative to the current price. This isn't an adjustable option for this field in this report. Your desired method would be more meaningful to help you see the dividend rate you've earned relative to your purchases, but the share price method is meaningful to compare going forward from the current price. If you're using the Professional or Advisor version you could define your own field, and write an equation to calculate yield based off received dividends and your average basis price. For example, you could use something like this equation:
