Annualized Returns in Fund Manager Appear Incorrect

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

I recently upgraded to 2016 and now find that the 1, 3, 5 year annualized returns in Fund Manager no longer reconcile to annualized returns in my Quicken Investment Portfolio which I also use to track and cross check returns. Can you explain what happened?

Hi kstupay,

I can't say for sure. If the data and time periods calculated have not changed, the results should be the same as in earlier versions. Here are some things to check:

- The ending date of the yield calculation
- The yield type: ROI or TWR
- Are your yields really annualized, make sure the options under "Options / General Preferences... / Yields" are set appropriately for annualizing
- You can turn on yield logging at the above dialog as well

What version were you using before? Are all your numbers different, or just some? Do you have a backup you can go back to with the old version? If so, try checking the numbers in there with the old version, and then open that same data with the new version, and without making any changes do you get different results for the same dates/terms?
Thanks,
Mark
