Redemption of Treasury Bill

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby dlevy » Mon Mar 05, 2018 12:49 pm

I bought a one-year TBill at a price of 99.50. When it matured I received 100.00. As it was sold at a discount, the tax treatment is that the .50 is interest income and not a capital gain.

How can I code the redemption get the amount to show up on the "Distribution Summary" rather than the "Capital Gain" report?

Hi dlevy,

Record an "accretion" transaction. See Bond Accretion and Amortization in the online help.
Thanks,
Mark
