Pimco PONDX to PONAX conversion

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby ichamp81 » Sun May 27, 2018 10:26 pm

Pimco has converted it's D class to A class funds (PONDX to PONAX). Is there
a simple way of doing this conversion in Fund Manager so that basis information
is maintained? Or do I simply sell by PONDX shares and then show a buy of PONAX shares?

Hi ichamp81,

The easiest way to handle this is to simply change the name/symbol/CUSIP investment properties on your existing investment. If you have a different number of shares in PONAX than you had in PONDX, record a split with a ratio of <new shares> for <old shares>.
Thanks,
Mark
