Audit trail log file

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Hi,

I am having problem to locate audit trail log file although i have enable the audit trail logging option in Fund Manager.

Currently i am using Adviser trial version and interested in getting Fund Manager but this Audit trail would be important for my use and wish to confirm its functionality before purchasing.

Appreciate if you could assist on this.

Hi pertani012,

You can first enable the Audit Trail Log under "Options / General Preferences... / Data / Enable Audit Trail Log". The log file will be written here:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Fund Manager\AuditTrail.txt

Please note, the "AppData" folder is a hidden folder by default, so you need to turn on the display of hidden folders/files when browsing for this file. Also, the file is only written to disk when Fund Manager exits, so use "File / Exit" in Fund Manager to flush all the changes to disk, so you can view the log.
