Retrieve prices only on active investments

I've not been able to find a setup that allows me to update current prices only on investments that have a non zero balance on End Value. Is there such a thing? Updating current prices on a daily basis goes through all symbols I've had in the past as well... I may be missing something...

Hi plhfish,

You can use "File / File Operations / Hide Sold Investments..." to hide and turn off price retrieve for investments you no longer own. When prompted for a date range in that dialog, if you use today to today, anything you own zero shares in as of today will be hidden and have its price retrieve option (Investment Properties... / Internet Retrieve / Retrieve Price) turned off. See this tutorial on Hiding Sold Investments as it goes over using this Hide Sold Investments... dialog.

I've been doing this since day one, but did not have the checkbox "Turn off price retrieve for sold investments" - sigh... My bad. I checked it now, all works!
