I don't use reports very much but would like to know if it is possible to do a calculation in a report. For example I would like to take the Total cost Basis starting minus the total ending value to yield the the holding profit / loss for the period

I figured out how to do this with your available fields, but now I have a new problem.
I created a report and ran it against a sub portfolio and got the results I needed. Then I tried to run it on a different sub report but it always goes back to the first sub portfolio. How can I make it run against which ever sub portfolio I am viewing. I saved it as a custom report.

Hi Jim,

Create any report, and from within that report, choose "Options / Report Preferences... / Other". Change the option for Memorized Reports to recall the sub-portfolio to "Currently Selected". The default is for memorized reports to be created with the sub-portfolio they were memorized with, but you can change this here.
