Mark:
My apologies, this is a really basic question, but I don't know how to change the directory for automatic backups, automatic backup frequency, the directory for different portfolios. Help
Thanks, Phil

Hi Phil,

The automatic backup location/options can be set under "Options / General Preferences... / Data".

All of your sub-portfolios are stored as part of your one *.mm4 file, which you can set with "File / Save Portfolio As...", or using "File / File Operations / Set Data Location...". The second command will also move any *.dat investment files into the folder you pick.
Thanks,
Mark
