Hi Mark,
is there an easy way to limit the date range for all the graphs to display a maximum of five or ten years only?
I have Personal 2020.16.4.100 in use.
Greetings,
Peter

Limit the date range

Hi Peter,
You can use the drop-down date choice in the toolbar, or use "View / Dates..." to set the date range for all investments or sub-portfolios. When using the toolbar drop-down: For investment based graph types you can hold down the Shift key on your keyboard while making a selection from the dropdown combination box. Holding down the Shift key will cause the date range selection to be applied to all open investments. Otherwise, it is only applied to the topmost investment.
thanks for your advice. This works well when all investments in the portfolio contain data in extent of the selected date range. But when there are investments with less stored dates, then you have to set the date range individually for these. Otherwise an ugly line in the graph is displayed (price and moving average as well) before the inception date and the horizontal scale is not adapted. See the attached screenshot. It would be more convenient when the graph date range could be selected as "from inception date to current date BUT NOT for a greater date range than e.g. 10 years". Or did I overlook something in the options settings? Greetings, Peter
Hi Peter,
Thanks, I understand what you're asking for now. Sorry, no, this isn't an option today. You can do either "inception" or "10 years", but not "inception with a max of XX years".
