Transaction retrieval problem at SchwabI called Schwab today to add my complaint to this issue. The person I spoke with was aware of the problem, but had no useful solution. She agreed that the 2-6 week timeline was absurd. She was able to identify FM application and that it was in progress. Schwab customers should continue to register their complaints with Schwab.
Mark:
Just heard from Schwab. They have assigned a "Client Advocacy" agent who claims he is able to gather the necessary technical resources at Schwab to help resolve the transaction receive problem. His name is Kenneth Russell; phone number 1-(800) 468-3744 extension 55543. He works 8 am to 3:00 pm CST. Hope he has the muscle to get things moving at Schwab. By the way, I just tested transaction module 241; failed. Thanks, Phil
Hi Mark,
Just found this link with what may be going on at Schwab and alternative solutions: https://www.stockmarketeye.com/blog/sch ... rt-issues/
Hi Stefan,
We're still waiting on Schwab to re-enable access. We have met with them, and formulated a plan that required changes on both sides. We have implemented these changes, but are currently still awaiting Schwab to complete the necessary steps on their end. Unfortunately, I don't have an ETA on when these will be finished. To manually record a transaction you can use the Data Register.
Hi Mark,
Thank you for the update. I think the most efficient workaround until this problem gets resolved is to export the transactions file from Schwab, delete the unnecessary heading and then import the transactions using the generic transaction import. For anyone interested in doing this, the import string format which matches Schwab transaction file is: MM/DD/YY,TRAN,SYMB,NAME,BNUM,ANUM,CNUM. This format string works for Buy/Sell. For dividends, you can use the same format string but replace the "Cash Dividend" in the Schwab file with DIST_D. Last edited by Stefan on Mon Nov 02, 2020 8:42 am, edited 1 time in total.
I appreciate the link to importing the transactions, but this is absolutely what I don’t want to have to do and the entire reason for using Fundmanager. Way too many accounts and potential transactions with mutual funds, stocks, etc. If I have to do this, I’ll just not use FM. Hopefully Schwab & FM will get this resolved.
I just logged a complaint with my account exec at Schwab, and provided the name and number of the individual on the Schwab side that has been assigned. He has agreed to escalate the issue inside Schwab. I suggest others do the same and ask that it be raised to the powers to be.

Mark,
I'm wondering if there is any status update. The market is volatile and year-end is not all that far away. At some point, I'm going to have to look at other solutions:
It would be really helpful to know how long we're likely to be without the Schwab interface. With thanks, David
