Performance Includes Default Cash

I could have sworn that I saw a place for a setting where the default cash investment can be included or not for performance calculations, am I dreaming? I spent an hour looking for it.

There is no such option. Maybe you're thinking of:

Options / General Preferences... / Yields / Include (Account Fee/Accrued Interest) in Yield Calculations

The other thing you could do is to filter out cash from a report, thus removing it from any calculations. In most reports, under "Report Settings..." click on "Filter..." and you can filter in/out different items. You'd want to filter by "Investment Type" and "Exclude" "Cash".
