Tax deducted from dividend

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

As I am in the UK, I sometimes have US withholding tax taken from my account following the payemnt of a recent dividend. If I traet this as a minus dividend so that the net dividend is correct, the default cash account doesn't reverse the entry. Am I dealing with it the right way?

Hi casurina,

This should work okay. Are you recording a 2nd new distribution for this negative dividend? If so, make sure you have a default cash account assigned in the sub-portfolio, and then money should be taken out of your cash account. You can check the default cash account settings by right mouse clicking on a sub-portfolio and choosing "Properties...".
Thanks,
Mark
