Schwab Wire Transfer

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby henrikk » Wed Apr 13, 2022 5:10 pm

I made a wire transfer out of my Schwab brokerage account. The transactions is received and labeled: "WIRED FUNDS DISBURSED" but it is marked as a "purchase" transactions as opposed to a "redemption" meaning the amount removed from my account is added to my account. This is for Fund Manager 2020.16.12.100.

Thank you. 2022 fixed the problem.

I also have a problem with stock splits. I noticed on another message you indicate Schwab does not report stock splits properly. OK. If I enter the stock split manually, the lot assignments (e.g. specify lots) appears not to be correct anymore and/or FM does not take the stock split into account with lot assignments. Is there are correct way to enter stock splits manually?

Hi henrikk,

No, just enter the split. Your lot specifications should remain valid. What problem are you seeing?
Thanks,
Mark

Hi henrikk,

Actually, I think I see the issue you're describing. If you had specified X shares from a specific purchase, and then later record a 2 for 1 split, instead of adjusting the specification to 2 * X shares, it is still only specifying X shares. Is this what you're seeing?
Thanks,
Mark

Probably in a month or so, it depends on what other issues come up. If this is urgent for you, send me an email and I can provide you with a pre-release with this change.
Thanks,
Mark
