Hi Sam,
Check your date and scale settings on the graph. You may just be zoomed in too far. See "View / Dates..." and "View / Scale...".
Hi Sam,
Did you check that the quotes you're requesting are available? Visit Yahoo, and look up one or more of the symbols you are trying to retrieve. Assuming they have the basic quote, then click on the "Historical Prices" link on the left hand side, and see if they have historical prices for that quote. Here are some other tips: http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/faq_ ... ailure.php
Mark I thought I was having the same problem but mine is different. I checked the scale and the Y scale showed min=1 and max=1. I autoscale and it stays 1 and 1. I can set the min and max manually, and it will still stay 1 and 1. I can view the portfolio value just fine and I see what I expect to see there. This is happening in only one portfolio file. Any ideas?
Hi jpearson,
What graph type are you seeing this with? What is your date range? If you look at the investment in the Data Register with "Prices" data type selected, do you see any recorded closing prices within the date range you are graphing?
It's happening on all graph types in that portfolio. It's happening with any date range I change to. Yes, there are closing prices if I look at the date range within the Data Register. Let me know if there is any further info I can provide. I've yet to figure this out.
Hi jpearson,
So, you can see this problem in the "Share Price" graph? If you do a "Share Price" graph for an investment that has recorded closing prices for the date range of the graph, do you still see it? What if you press "Shift+R" on your keyboard while viewing the graph? This is a keyboard shortcut that reverts the X axis to full history, and auto-scales the Y axis.
Yes I was seeing it in all graphs, including Share Price. I say "was" because it is now displaying the graphs. I did not knowingly change anything or do anything different. I did not perform the Shift+R. When I opened the portfolio to try it, the graphs were already displaying. ??? John Pearson
Hi John,
Okay, well glad it is working okay now.
