Hi Alan,

Yahoo seems to be working properly when I tested it just now. If you're still having troubles, please let me know a sample ticker symbol that fails, and make sure you're using the latest quote module (583).

Getting could not update any investments eg toll If I ise Yahoo on browser it workd but not in FM Have the latest module too All 14 equities I have in US market did not update

Please right mouse click on one investment in question, and choose "Retrieve Selected Prices", and after it fails, please send me the log file from "Help / Logs / Price Retrieve (Detailed)...".

Yes, you can use any quote server you want as the default. See the list of them here, along with details on each one.

Hi Mark,
Updating prices from UK with c80 from Yahoo - UK & Ireland. Remainder FT.
Main: 2022.17.7 Quote: 583 Transaction: 260
All YAHOO-UK/IR failed. Repeated for one - Unilever - Detailed Price Retrieve log attached.
Striking entries from it:
- HTTP/1.1 429 Too Many Requests
- Invalid Crumb - I have a memory of this from last time but at least this time it skips the problematic holdings, and does the remainder from FT. (Last time the symptoms were attempting the batch of Yahoo first and this was looping unable to proceed at all.)
As a running repair, I have switched two Currencies and one Index to Yahoo (Alternate). As expected, all 3 work on re-trying. I will switch all the others when it's clearer how long until a fix.

Hi Alan and Martin,

Yes, the fast method of retrieving from Yahoo isn't working from within Europe. Yahoo is returning an error. The slower method of using Yahoo (Alternate) is still working, which is essentially the same as when you use your web browser to look up a price. You can also still use Yahoo (Historical), which is faster, but limited to only end of day pricing. Reuters and Wall Street Journal are also some other options you can use. We'll keep an eye on this, but for now there is no fix that we can offer until Yahoo fixes this error. Another possible work-around is to use a VPN and connect from the US when retrieving prices.

HI Mark Yahoo seems to done the same again I tried to use yahoo alternative or reuters Both took forever and did not return all the results I am not sure why Yahoo is so unreliable Can we try to add Bloomberg or even cnn
