"Earliest transaction to date" setting

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

In Report Setting, if I select "Earliest transaction to date", "End" is set to last transaction date instead of TODAY. After I assigned TODAY's transaction lot, the G/L doesn't shown in "Capital Gains - Specific Lot" because the lot is not in the time period.

Hi share,

All of the "... to date" date ranges mean the ending date will be date of the last recorded price on or before the current date. If you don't have any closing prices recorded past your last transaction date, it would appear as if this date was defaulting to your last transaction date, but it is really being set to the last price date on/before today. If you keep your prices updated, this date range would go from the earliest transaction to today.
