How to record stock that's transfered from another account?

Should I use "Purchase" or "Redemption"?

Hi share,

To record stock that was transferred from another account you would record this as a "Purchase" (aka "Buy").

What I did is unlink my cash account, purchase the stock, and relink my cash account. This way, my account value will be increased because of stock transfer.
