Installation Access Denied, Portfolio autosave failed

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

New Windows 7 computer. Downloaded FM. Restored my portfoilo from Backup. Go to exit and get the message "Access is denied" and then "Porfolio autosave failed"

OK, I moved my data from c\prgram files\fundmanager to c\my documents\fundmanager. I think I am ok now.

Hi csharin,

Glad you figured that out. Starting with Windows Vista, you can no longer write to files inside Program Files, unless you specifically start the program as an administrator. Moving your data to the My Documents \ Fund Manager folder is the right solution. If you'd like to read more about this, we do have a FAQ on this here:
