Unable to Retrieve TD Ameritrade Institutional

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Using the New Portfolio Wizard for a TD Ameritrade Institutional Account I get a "sign on invalid" message. I am able to log into the TD website without Fund Manager. Any help appreciated.

Hi frank2010,

Since your account is on their "institutional" side, they may not be making it available on their OFX server, which is generally for retail accounts. I would suggest calling TD and asking them if your account is enabled for online access from programs like Fund Manager, Quicken, and previously MS Money. They may be able to make it available there.

I called TD. They said for institutional accounts the user id is the account # and the password is the last 4 of the SS#. It seems less secure to me but it does work. Thanks.
