If I cannot conect trough a SMTP connection

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Dear FM Forum:

What are the options if I cannot connect trough SMTP trough gmail?

Do I have to create another mail account somewhere?

I would like to configure this option in order to recieve alerts in my Black Berry...

Hi aobilino,

Gmail does support SMTP. The server settings are smtp.gmail.com, and you must enable authentication, and enter your gmail email address and password. You must also turn on the option "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" when using gmail's mail server. Leave the port set to "Default".
