Tracking Indices

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager reports.

In the online help section under "How can I compare my portfolio to an index?" you suggest creating a new sub-portfolio at the same level as other sub-portfolios in order to compare ROI. This requires buying a position in the index for any dollar amount

Is there any way to prevent that position from showing in the total value of a sub-portfolio?

Hi Andy777,

You can't exclude the value of the index from the sub-portfolio that index belongs in. You can however organize your sub-portfolios, so the index is in a sub-portfolio outside of the one you're interested in. For example:

Code: Select all
Master Portfolio
  - My Holdings
  - Indices
Thanks,
Mark
