US Treasury Strips or Zeros

Hello,

New FM user here, so excuse me if I'm asking a question that has already been answered elsewhere.

I can't retrieve current pricing for US Treasury Strips. I have these in Vanguard brokerage accounts, which FM does correctly link to, but will not pull in the pricing.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi Phil,

If Fund Manager isn't updating the price when you retrieve transactions, it may not be in the feed from Vanguard... You can take a closer look by turning on the logging feature in Fund Manager. Go to "Options / General Preferences... / Other" and turn on "Create Log Files When Importing Transactions". Retrieve just this one account, and then go into your user's "AppData \ Roaming \ Fund Manager" folder and look at the "xmldump.txt" file in a text editor, like Notepad. Search for UNITPRICE and see if you can find a price quoted for the investments in question.

I am using Windows XP Pro, through VMWare Fusion. Where is that file path on XP? Sorry, being a Mac user, I'm seldom "under the hood."

Hi Phil,

Under XP (not sure about VMWare...) it would be at:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Fund Manager

Please note, "Application Data" is a hidden folder by default.
