Creating an "adjusted graph"

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager graphs.

How can I create an "adjusted graph" based on exposure?

For instance, in my one portfolio I have 70% cash and 30% equities, so it looks as if I am trailing the S&P by a large amount. What can I do to adjust this? Thank you!

Hi ewlang,

Which graph type are you looking at?

Are you asking to overlay just the equities in your sub-portfolio with the index, and not your whole account sub-portfolio? If so, you would need to separate your existing sub-portfolio into 2, one with your equities, and one with your cash, so you can choose to overlay just the equity sub-portfolio. You could do something like this:

Code: Select all
- Master Portfolio
  - My Account 1
    - Equities
    - Cash

You can do this sub-portfolio management from within the Portfolio Editor window.
Thanks,
Mark

Thank you! If I have them separated like this and add another equity, will it still automatically take from cash to pay for the investment? Thanks again

Hi ewlang,

Yes, it will. You would just set your "Default Cash Account" at the "My Account 1" sub-portfolio level in that example.
Thanks,
Mark
