This dialog is available from the Options / Report Preferences... menu command under any Report window.
This dialog page allows you to specify preferences on how capital gain reports are displayed. The following options are available:
Holding Term: |
|
Medium Term |
Specify the "months" and "years" for medium term capital gains. Shares held longer than this amount of time, and not longer than the long term time, will be categorized as medium term. Shares held for a shorter, or equal, period of time will generate short term capital gains. To not use the medium term category, specify this time period to be greater than or equal to the long term period. |
Long Term |
Specify the "months" and "years" for long term capital gains. Shares held longer than this amount of time will be categorized as long term. Shares held for a shorter, or equal, period of time will generate either short or medium term capital gains. |
Order All Like Term Gains |
Together When this option is selected all the short term gains will be listed first, followed by all the medium term gains, and then all the long term gains. With this option off, short, medium, and long term gains from the same sell transaction are kept together. |
