Back-up - access denied

When backing up I often (say 50% of backups) get a message "access is denied", and following that, "could not copy xxx.dat" for one or two stocks. The stocks are different each time this occurs. Is this a bug or is there a setting I am not aware of? It has occurred with FM 3 and 4, as well as the latest version.
