: Mark,

: Please consider putting in 2 more transaction types in your buy/sell box.

: - Sell short

: - Buy to cover

: The negative gains are presently very difficult to weed out when viewing any of the performance reports, and create a invalid totalization of performance on the entire portfolio.

: It would be nice if the FM scripts performed an inverse on the positive/negative signs if either of these two bullets are selected.

: Thanks for your consideration, and wonderful program,
: Jim

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the suggestion. Can you give me an example or two of
something that is reported that should have its sign changed when being
reported?

As I think you already know, we do support both long/short positions.
FM determines this automatically based on whether you own a positive or
negative number of shares. So, if you own 0 shares, and then record a
sell, FM considers this as selling short. If you then own a negative
number of shares, and record a buy, FM considers this a buy to cover
your short position.

Thanks,
Mark
