Yahoo Hist servers have worked fine for more than 6 months with this portfolio, with occasional rare short-term problems. Incidentally, I tried using Internet Explorer to access the "Historical Prices" link on Yahoo Finance, and this failed. The rest of the Yahoo site was ok though, so it appears that their hist servers may be down since Friday. Hopefully they are not removing the historical data service. I have many expired options positions, and am wondering if the Yahoo hist servers (or any servers) will handle these symbols OK over time. The oldest expired options I have are from November 2002, and have not been a problem up to now (if they are not in the PF the cumulative returns are off). But of course a hist update tries to update these symbols -- what if they are not longer on the server? Thanks again - Mark Ellington p.s. I posted a similar msg before without a name and it disappeared, so here it is again.
