Canadian Mutual Fund Ticker Symbols[ Q2 03 - Q4 05 Archive ] [ Current Message Board ] [ Archives ] [ Search ] Posted by Jack on September 06, 2003 at 00:55:05:Mark: I tried the moneysense site you quoted in a post from May 2003 (http://funds.moneysense.ca/eng/investing/funds/screener/index.jsp) for obtaining Canadian mutual fund ticker symbols. But the only symbols that site seems to give for Canadian mutual funds are what appear to be its own, such as AIC*DER for AIC Diversified Canada Fund. Canadian Stockwatch comes up with a blank, as does Yahoo, and all in all, ticker symbols don't seem to be provided at any Canadian mutual fund web site, no matter how comprehensive they may be (such as Globe & Mail's site). I am beginning to wonder if they are used at all. Do you have any advice on how we should update our Canadian mutual fund prices within FundManager? Both from the point of view of what ticker symbol to use, and which Internet site to get updates from. Jack PS: I originally posted this question as a followup to the May 2003 posting, but that post didn't change the chronologocal order of the messages, so I've reposted it as a new message.
