: When you download and burn to a CD does that make an executable program or is it strictly for backup. Here is my reason. My employer as implemented some new rules on software. We cannot load any personal software on our office PC's. I want to install to CD rom so I can still work on my investment information without having to load the software on the hard drive at work.

: Thank you for your repsonse.

Hi George,

Fund Manager isn't designed to be run from a read-only CD. By burning a CD
that just places the setup programs onto the CD, it doesn't "install" Fund
Manager to the CD.

If you want to try running it from a CD, you can install it to the CD drive,
or copy an installed version of Fund Manager to a CD. You would then need
to at least modify this registry setting:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Beiley Software\Fund Manager\CurrentVersion\directory location

Those directories would need to be pointing to some directory where there
is write access, for storing temporary files. I haven't tested this, so
you may run into more issues. Let me know if you run into any other problems
if you decide to try this.

Thanks,
Mark
