: : Hi Mark;
: : I tried to reset auto back up to C D in FMBeta 7.2&7.3, but nothing is copied to CD. It worked very well before FM 7 came along. I have a back up on another computer so it isn't a big thing but would like to get it working again.
: : Have you decided what the upgrade fee will be yet?
: : FM is installed on Cdrive My FM Data file is on My D drive & My CD burner is drive F
: : I browsed to F in the auto back up box under Preferences Data tab.

: Hi Lawrence,

: Can you back up to your hard drive somewhere? Is your CD set up to allow any
: program to write to it? What happens when the autoback tries to write to
: the CD drive? Do you get an error, or does it not attempt an auto-backup?
: This really should work the same as it did under FM 6. I'd do a little
: testing/debugging to figure out what is going on.

: For the Personal version, the new user registration cost will be $59. The
: upgrade fee for the Personal version will be $22.
Hi Mark;
I use a CD_RW disk and my CD software supports drag and drop. I have never had anything refuse to write to CD before. Before FM Beta 1,2,3 when I closed FM the auto back up pop up would prompt me to OK back up of one or all. Now with FM Beta3 as with 1 & 2 when I close FM it closes immediately. On my C drive programs FM auto back up folder has dat files in it whether they are FM 7 files or left from FM6, I haven't a clue. I reformatted my CD and after closing FM several time the CD is blank. I have be backing up to CD for probably a year before FM 7.
Think I solved the problem I think , in the Data tab of preferences I was only clicking OK, I just now clicked apply and it started working.

: Thanks,
: Mark
