You are correct, the two error messages were:
Error 11001 returned from [gethostbyname]
WSAE: 11001

And, indeed, I had installed Norton Internet Security 2005 after the last successful quote retrieve. I disabled NIS, and then FM worked fine. Now, can you give me an idea where to go and what to change in NIS to stop blocking FM?
