: Hi Keith,

: You should be able to just open your old portfolios with Fund Manager 7.0.
: It shouldn't give you any warnings or errors when opening them. If you try
: to "save" a portfolio with Fund Manager 7.0 that was created with an earlier
: version, then it will give you a warning, letting you know you are about
: to convert the portfolio file to a new format, and that you won't be able to
: open it in older versions anymore.

: Has any of your data been moved around or anything? Portfolios store the
: locations of their investments in a relative manner to the portfolio file
: itself. What exactly does the message you get say?

: Thanks,
: Mark

Hi Mark,
I think the problem was that there no investments within the portfolio's that I had saved.
I have now found a backup CD with my investments on it and Ive dropped them into the my data folder in FM. They are updating ok if a little out of date but when I come to exit or save, I get a message saying that access is denied and the files have 'read only attributes' Can you shed any light on this?
Thanks
Keith
