: Hi Mark, : I think the problem was that there no investments within the portfolio's that I had saved. : I have now found a backup CD with my investments on it and Ive dropped them into the my data folder in FM. They are updating ok if a little out of date but when I come to exit or save, I get a message saying that access is denied and the files have 'read only attributes' Can you shed any light on this? : Thanks : Keith Hi Keith, You'll want to remove the "read-Only" attribute from your data files. You can do this with Windows Explorer. Just browse to the files, select them, and choose "Properties..." from the right mouse popup menu. Remove the check mark next to "Read-Only". This happened probably because of when you copied your files off a CD. Files will get marked with the read-only attribute on the CD since it is read-only on a CD. When you copied them off the CD, they kept that attribute. Fund Manager can't write to read-only files, so you must remove that attribute before trying to save from within Fund Manager.
