: : Hello Mark!

: : I'm having a challenge trying to open Fidelity import files. I've got them downloaded to my "Fidelity" folder in FM but I'm unable to open it. The message I get is: "Failed to open (file path) for reading." Because we're using this on a server, it took me a while to get the folder into FM. But now that it's there I'm unable to open it. Any suggestions?

: : Thanks - Gerry

: Hi Gerry,

: I don't have any good ideas besides making sure that you've specified the
: full path/filename of the file(s) you want to import. Are you importing
: a specific file, or all the .TRN files in a folder? Either way, if you use
: the "Browse" button that will help make sure there are no typos in the path
: and/or filename. The files need to end in *.trn in order for Fund Manager to
: open them. If none of this helps, and you would like, you can zip up
: the folder and send it to me. I can just make sure that I can import them
: okay.

: Thanks,
: Mark

Mark-

Thanks for the reply - Through my own error I goofed it up but now am able to get all the transactions. I have another question - I'm unable to open one of my portfolios and would like to know what is the best way to rename a file path - I believer that's my problem with this one.

Thanks again -
Gerry
