: My client's computer was lost but I was able to copy the Fund Manager files from the old PC. After installing Fund Manager on the new computer I put the files in the c:/program files/fund manager directory but still can not see his data. Is there a chance that this information was saved somewhere else or is it always saved to a .mm4 file in the fund manager directory. I see scores and scores of .mm4 files in the samples directory but assume those are just samples. Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi Andrew,

Fund Manager stores data to 2 types of files, investment files (*.dat) and
portfolio files (*.mm4). You would want to restore all of these. It doesn't
matter where they are located, but the relative location of the portfolio
and investment files should stay the same. For example, if they were all in
one directory before, then they should still all be in one directory on the
new computer. To open a portfolio use "File / Open Portfolio..." and go pick
the .mm4 file you want to open. If you just want to open some investments use
"File / Open Investment(s)..." to go pick them. For some more tips on
transferring Fund Manager to a new computer see:

Thanks,
Mark
