: : With regard to my previous message I think I have realised that I can only have one "master" portfolio and that I must create subsequent portfolio trees (with sub-portfolios) if I effectively want to monitor 2 portfolios as different entities.
: : Please confirm that this is in fact the case.
: : Thanks.
Mark,
OK, what I am doing is not quite right then.
I have 2 portfolio files (*.mm4) saved in my_data file but on the most recently created portfolio when I open it up I am unable to get to the portfolio editor view (or at least it may be open but I appear unable to see it). Any clues..

: Hi Rupert,

: You can have as many portfolio files (*.mm4) as you want. Each portfolio file
: contains the definitions of all your sub-portfolios and included investments. When you are using the "File / Open Portfolio" command you are opening a portfolio file (*.mm4). Each portfolio file is separate from the others. You can only have one portfolio file open at a time. Each portfolio file can contain any number of sub-portfolios and investments.

: Thanks,
: Mark
