: : : Hi Mark,
: : : Further to my effort to make the email update for the Athens Stock Exchange to work, I have the following problem: All the investments are updated very well, apart from around 10 of those (investments). These, refuse to update mysteriously! I don't know the reason, but all the other investments (around 310) update perfectly when I import the emailed file, these do not. So, I created another portfolio with these 10 investments and tried to update them using that portfolio. Again, they do not update and I get the message "The specified input format did not match any lines in the imported file" "Could not update any investments". I have checked everything, the input file format, the symbols" etc.
: : : However, everything seems to be OK.
: : : Please any ideas, solutions?
: : : Best regards
: : : Harry

: : Harry,
: : Why don't you take a look at those 10 lines in the file you
: : are importing. I suspect there is something slightly different about
: : them, that doesn't work with the format string I provided. You
: : can post one of those lines, along with a line that does import properly.

: : Thanks,
: : Mark

: Hi Mark
: Here I am again! The first line does not update at all, while the second one it does.

: A. KALPINIS - N. SIMOS Steel Service Center KASIK 25/10/99 6585 S 19010 7000 6385 128523350 87 6700

:
: Katselis Sons S.A. Bread Ind. (C) KATSK 25/10/99 8745 . 43970 9440 8530 394079550 157 9440

: Please note that each company appears in the imported file in just one line and not in two or three lines as they appear in this message. That is the first line is from A. KALPINIS ... till 6700, and the second one from Katselis Sons ... till 9440.
: Many thanks
: Harry

Hi Harry,
For reference, here was the format string being used:

XX) SYMB DD/MM/YY NAV XX VV HH LL

You'll notice the XX) is taking you to the ending parenthesis.
Since there is no good delimiter between the name/symbol, this was
the best that could be used, as it seemed all of them ended with the ).
In the case above, since you are missing the ), it won't import with
that format string. For the case where it isn't importing, there isn't
really a good solution, as those are just spaces between the name/symbol.
If it were a tab, or something else it could be accomplished.

Thanks,
Mark
