I have read some archived messages on the bulletin board regarding mergers, but my question is still unanswered. How shall I record the acquisition of one company by another, when I have stock in both companies? Recording a split in the acquired company and then changing its name to that of the acquiring company will give me two separate files for the same stock. What do you suggest?
