Hi Harry,
The ability to track indices is already available. You can obtain the
price of an index just like an investment. You don't need to track all
the investments in an index. For example, to track the Dow Jones, just
create an index investment, and assign it a name/symbol, and give it 0 shares.
The Dow on Yahoo can be retrieved using the symbol of ^DJI. I suspect there
is something similar for FTSE 250.
