: Is there a way to preserve your investment history when you sell or transfer
: a fund to buy a new fund? For ex. if I bought fund A five years ago for $10 and now its worth $15.
: If I sell fund A now and buy fund B the "portfolio performance" report will show
: it cost me $15. While this is correct, I really have invested only $10. I would

: "today". --Maybe another chart to show the actual "out of pocket" cash investment.

Hi Rod,
You would just record this as a sell in A, and a purchase into a new
investment in B. There is an "out of pocket" cost used by FM, which would
still keep your cost in this case to $10 effectively. This is on the
cost based graphs, such as "Portfolio Cost - Value". You would want the
cost mode to be historical (Graphs/Options/Historical Cost). The OOP cost
is also available in the custom reports.

Thanks,
Mark
