: I am trying to evaluate your demo software which I have downloaded. One key function of interest is how I would import transaction data from Quicken and how I would update transaction data on a monthly basis. Could you describe the process? I have a large number of holdings and don't want to spend all my time in data entry mode.

: Thanks,

Hi Beth,
Fund Manager will import your transactions from Quicken. The first time
will take a little more work, creating your investments. Use "File/
Import/Transactions/Quicken...". Read the online help for the specifics.
The basics are that you export a QIF file from Quicken, and then import
it into FM. For the first time, FM will create your investments for you, but you need to assist
it, by giving certain details, such as investment type, and filename. After
the first time, you can periodically (monthly if you wish) export from
Quicken, and import into Fund Manager. You can limit the date range you
import, and also control whether to import investments that are already
in your investments.

Thanks,
Mark
