: Hi Mark,
: This may be interesting to you.
: I have been trying to make the Change values show up for about a month. Typically I only update my portfolio prices every 3-4 days, and I have been using MSN or Yahoo historical servers and set the date range so that I have every day the markets are open. (I verified I have prices for every day in Data Register).
: Using that method the Change and % Change have always been 0. Tonight (Wed) I updated this weeks prices (Mon-Wed) from MSN historical and the Change was still 0. Then I switched to Yahoo price server and retrieved again and now the Change and % Change value show up.
: So even though the prices for every day were in the Data Register the Change value didn't show up until I switched to a non-historical price server.
: Regards,
: Mark M.

Hi Mark,

I'm guessing that the problem is that when you retrieve using the historical servers, you're not getting today's price. These servers are typically delayed in getting current day quotes. The Yahoo server however is only 20 minutes delayed, so will update prices for today. As the Portfolio Editor is referencing everything from today's date, the change numbers will be 0 if there isn't a price recorded for today. You can check this next time after doing a retrieve from the historical servers. Use the Data Register, and look at the "Prices" data type to see if you have a price recorded for the current computer date or not.

Thanks,
Mark
