: The hard drive that stores my portfolio data files has failed. Fortunately, the fund manager executable tree is on a separate hard drive. Under fund manager executable tree, there appears to be a backup directory. From reading the docs on this site, it appears that all I need do is copy the files from the backup directory to a new location, and then launch the newly copied portfolio file. Is this correct?

: ps Thank you so much for the auto backup feature

Hi John,

This is almost correct... The autoback'd investments have been renamed to help you identify which sub-portfolio they belonged in. For example, IBM.dat you were using may now be called Account1_IBM.dat. To use your existing portfolio file from the autoback folder you will need to rename these investment files back to just IBM.dat, or re-create the portfolio, by opening the investments with the new/longer name.

Thanks,
Mark
