: For the third time since Jan '07 (see earlier post from 1/7), nearly all investments in one of my portfolios have closed for no apparent reason. Also, the active date range was set to Dec 11, 2003 to Dec 11, 2003. I did not do this prior to closing the last time I had this portfolio open. Could this be caused by not closing the portfolio when opening another one (ie, just selecting the portfolio to be opened from the list of recently opened portfolios)?

Hi Mark,

Sorry to hear about the troubles. I did go look at your posts on 1/7, and see that you are password protecting your investments. Could it be that when you open your portfolio, you are canceling, or not entering your password? If you open a portfolio with password protected events, and don't successfully open them for any reason and then save the portfolio, those investments will be removed from the portfolio. Notice, there is an auto-save on exit option for the portfolio under "Options / Save Portfolio On Exit".

Thanks,
Mark
