: Hi
: Has anybody able to run FM from a Linux OS?
: I been trying Ubuntu for a week and was able to install FM and run it.
: Seems to work OK, but cannot transfer database from Win.
: Looks like one could do a clean install manual build of each portfolio and work from there.
: Just curious, as every time MS releases a new OS the pain motivates me to look for alternatives.

Hi David,

I've heard reports of customers successfully using Fund Manager under Linux with "Wine". It is a windows emulator. I've personally never tested it under Wine, and we don't officially support this, but I believe it can work. We have a short FAQ on this at:

http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/faq.html#linux

There is a link to the wine website in that FAQ.

Thanks,
Mark
