: : : Hi Mark; : : 1.used New Portfolio Wizard, entered a portfolio name, and my fidelity account number. clicked "transaction retrieve settings" : : 2. selected Fidelity from your drop-down list, entered my Fidelity user ID and password and account number. clicked ok : : got the following error message: "could not open log file for writing" C:\program files\fund manager\ofxpost.txt : : ps: just purchased the latest version of personal fund manager a few days ago. : Hi Ronald, : Sorry about the troubles. This error is because of a permissions problem when running under Vista and "User Access Control" (UAC) is turned on. This has been fixed, and you can get the update. Please do this: : 1) Start Fund Manager by right mouse clicking on the shortcut, and choosing "Run As Administrator". : 2) Within FM, choose "Help / FM on the Web / Check for Updates...". Choose "Yes" when it asks you if you want to download the latest updates. : 3) Exit, and re-start FM normally. You should now be able to retrieve your positions just as you described above. : Thanks,
